Chief Archivist

We are seeking a Chief Archivist to join the Programs Division of the King Abdulaziz Center for World Culture Department.
The King Abdulaziz Center for World Culture (Ithra) is an iconic landmark building, a beacon for knowledge to illuminate, inspire, and catalyze the potential of the Kingdom's vast talent pool. Ithra is an all-purpose culture destination, and an environment for transformative experiences to unlock the power of potential through mastery in arts, science, literature, and innovation. Facilities include an idea lab, library, theater, museum, energy exhibit, art gallery, children's museum, and a knowledge tower housed under one roof to provide visitors with an immersive and transformative experience.
The Programs Division is responsible for planning and executing all the King Abdulaziz Center's programs, including but not limited to, the Museum programs, Theater and Performing Arts programs, as well as Keystone and the Outreach programs. In addition, it is responsible for the Library and other educational, scientific, and technological programs.
Your role is to manage and maintain documents and other materials that have historical importance for individuals, organizations, and nations. You will also be responsible for making information accessible to users, increasingly in digital format. Minimum Requirements As the successful candidate you will hold a master's degree in library science or information studies, or a bachelor's degree in information technology, history, archeology, or a relevant field.
You will have seven (7) years of experience in cultural institutions, academic experience, or similar field related to archiving. Duties & Responsibilities You will be required to perform the following:
Identify methods of protecting and preserving collections.
Prepare record-keeping systems and procedures for archival research and for the retention or destruction of records.
Specialize in the acquisition, management, description, and preservation of photographic or audiovisual materials or electronic records.
Records management, digitization, public outreach, writing, and teaching.
Manage and supervise staff; and take responsibility for overall strategy.
Liaise with donors and depositors of archives to acquire new collections.
Arrange the acquisition and retrieval of records.
Organize and rehouses collections.
Describes collections and write finding aids.
Assists researchers in using the collections.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
