Speech/Technical Writer

The Chemicals business is currently seeking a Speech/Technical Writer to join the Chemicals Business Coordination & Support Department.
The successful candidate will be able to produce high quality content and documentation for a Chemicals and general audience.
You will have the experience to develop high-level speeches, statements, briefings and written communications for executives based on the content provided by Chemicals subject matter experts. Minimum Requirements As the successful candidate you will hold a Bachelors' Degree in Communications, Journalism, English or a related degree.
You will preferably have more than 7 years of experience as an editor or as a writer with an institution or commercial newspaper. Duties & Responsibilities As the successful candidate the incumbent will write articles and reports on current trends in fields such as technology, and engineering. You will be expected to adjust, copy as necessary, and proofread for grammar and spelling.
The candidate will maintain records, file pieces of work, and any revisions. You will review published materials, and recommend revisions, or changes in scope, format, or content. Other aspects may include selecting photographs, drawings, sketches, diagrams, and charts to illustrate material.
The writer will be expected to liaise and conduct interviews with internal teams to obtain an in-depth understanding to generate content around Chemicals operations and products.
Write easy to understand text for a variety of technical content platforms, e.g., digital, print, FAQ pages, presentations, press releases, etc.
